The Tanečnice lookout tower is the northernmost lookout tower in the whole of Bohemia. It stands on a forested hill of the same name (597 m) on the very border with Germany. This eight-sided stone lookout tower was built in 1905. It is 26 m high, and 138 steps lead to the observation platform, which is at 23 m. From the lookout tower, there is a great 360-degree view of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains Protected Landscape Area, the Bohemian Switzerland National Park, Saxon Switzerland, the Ore Mountain Range and the Krkonoše Mountains. At the top, there is a 25-m-deep well with drinking water from a spring. A blue tourist sign leads to the lookout tower from Mikulášovice.
